I love an adventure and going on long drives. In fact, one of my favorite parts of being a wedding photographer is the adventure aspect. Standing in the rain to photograph a farm wedding, battling whipping winds and hiking totally primitive land in the Flint Hills, this is my jam and truly makes me feel alive. So it was a no-brainer to drive over 2 hours on the perfect fall day for Savannah and Kevin's Konza Prairie engagement session as the sun went down .
As I walked to their car, Savannah was spraying down with bug spray (I love her), and we got to talking. It is so incredible when couples and I have a similar vibe, and if it hadn't been for my camera bag and their clothing, we could have just been three friends hiking together on a weekend. They are warm, easy with each other. Their relationship is built on friendship, which you get a sense for immediately.

It's hard to believe their wedding is in a month! I am so excited to see them again, and to photograph what promises to be an amazing wedding.
