When Erin contacted me months ago about photographing her and Cormac's intimate wedding, I jumped at the opportunity. The location of their ceremony was not only beautiful, but also one of my absolute favorite places to do photography sessions: The Rotary Arboretum.
With a late summer date, we knew that weather was going to be a little variable (especially in Kansas), but as luck would have it, it was really the perfect summer wedding. The ceremony was under the newer structure, putting the guests (mainly family) in the shade, while the couple read their own vows and completed a hand-binding ceremony in front of an absolutely shimmering pond, framed by the forked tree covered in peeling bark.
The ceremony was short, but meaningful; completely about the two people pledging their love and commitment to each other, and when they shared their first kiss as a married couple, they were enveloped in the love and joy of their families which was just as warm as the August sun.
