Two different people pulled me aside at this wedding at Arterra to marvel about Kim. Both her maid of honor and father described her as both "The most organized, and most laidback person you have ever met."
This is exactly the vibe I got when I first met Kim and Kyle in person. It was May 4th, the morning of our scheduled engagement photos. The weather had taken a turn and it was drizzly, chilly, and a bit windy. I texted Kim an hour before the session to ask if we could do a different location than originally planned (granted, it was only a block away), and she replied right away with "Yes! That'd be great!" She and Kyle were amazing to work with, taking suggestions and then getting lost in having fun with each other.
Kyle walked down the aisle with his parents, and later as they were signing the marriage license in the bridal suite, he came up to me and said with a laugh, "I was so focused on not tripping, that I'm pretty sure my eyes were looking down the entire time!" No matter, because when Kim rounded the corner on her father's arm, Kyle was looking exactly where he needed to: at his soon-to-be, absolute vision of a wife.
As the officiant began talking, he immediately choked up. Through tears, he informed the wedding audience that he is Kim's brother, and a low murmur of empathy rippled through the crowd. It was a disarmingly sweet, heartfelt moment, that set the tone for the rest of the ceremony.
The exchange of vows and rings was just right; Kim, warm and to the point, gingerly wiping a tear as Kyle unfolded his vows. Kyle, calling Kim by his affectionate nickname for her ("Birdie"), making the crowd laugh with his easy humor.
They came together for the kiss that seals the marriage, and on cue the DJ played the theme song to "Curb Your Enthusiasm" as they walked down the aisle to laughter and applause.
There is such a tangible, warm connection between Kim and Kyle. An invisible thread that seems to link them at all times. Even the shortest observation of the couple reveals that no one brings out Kim's full-body laugh like Kyle does, and no one else brings out that totally smitten grin that Kyle saves just for her, even when she's not looking at him.
